 General   Events

Dear Social Work Club Members,

Welcome to the Fall 2026 semester! 🎉

A special welcome to all of our incoming freshmen, transfer students, and new members of the APSU Social Work Club! We are so excited to have you with us. Whether you are brand new to APSU, new to the Social Work Club, or returning for another semester, we look forward to connecting with you, serving our community together, and making this a great year for the club.

As we get the semester underway, there are several upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, and important dates that we want you to know about. Please take a moment to save these dates to your calendar!

🟣 Leadership Training

Thursday, September 3, 2026 | 4:00–6:00 p.m. | HPB 300E

Leadership Training is for anyone, whether you are currently serving in an officer role, or interested in running for an officer position.

Come learn more about the officer roles, how the club operates, expectations for student leaders, and what it takes to lead the Social Work Club successfully.

Important: Attendance at this training is required for anyone who wishes to run for an officer position in the Fall 2026 election.

🟣 First Friday – Student Involvement & Vendor Fair

Student Life and Engagement hosts First Friday events throughout the semester, giving students an opportunity to connect with campus organizations, discover involvement opportunities, and meet new people.

The Social Work Club will have a table at the first First Friday of the Fall 2026 semester, and we are looking for members to help represent our organization!

Date: Friday, September 4, 2026
Time: 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.

  • Free giveaways
  • Social interaction and networking
  • An opportunity to introduce prospective members to the Social Work Club and the social work profession

Interested in volunteering? Please reply to this email with the times you are available to serve at the table.

Please note: Volunteers may represent only one organization during the event. If you have already committed to another student organization or campus department during a particular time, you cannot volunteer at the Social Work Club table during that same time period.

Annual membership dues are $20. These are due September 15th.

Please remember that dues must be paid in order to have voting access for the Spring 2027 Semester.
