Hello Social Work Club Members,
I hope everyone is looking forward to the start of the fall semester!
Before I begin, I want to apologize for the number of emails that have gone out this week. As we prepare for the upcoming semester, there are several events, opportunities, and important announcements to share. Thank you for your patience and continued support as we get everything organized for what promises to be an exciting year for our club.
Student Life and Engagement hosts First Friday events throughout the semester as an opportunity for students to connect with campus organizations, learn about involvement opportunities, and meet new people. These events are always full of energy, great conversations, and plenty of giveaways.
The APSU Social Work Club will have a table at the first First Friday of the Fall 2026 semester, and we are looking for volunteers to help represent our organization.
Event Information
Date: September 4, 2026
Time: 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
Location: MUC Plaza
What to expect:
- Opportunities to connect with students, organizations, and campus departments
- Free giveaways
- Social interaction and networking opportunities
- A chance to introduce prospective members to the APSU Social Work Club and the field of social work
If you are interested in volunteering, please reply to this email with the times you are available to serve at the table.
Please note that volunteers may represent only one organization during the event. If you have already committed to volunteering with another student organization or campus department, you will not be able to volunteer at the Social Work Club table during the same time period.
I would also like to remind everyone that our club elections are approaching. There is still time to submit your interest form if you are interested in serving in a leadership position during the upcoming academic year.
You can complete the form here:
Thank you for helping us welcome students and share information about our club. Your enthusiasm and willingness to serve make a tremendous difference, and we appreciate your support.
Best regards,
Jacklyn Shires
