The Adult, Nontraditional & Transfer Student* Center (ANTS Center) is a welcoming space that celebrates adult, non-traditional, and transfer students while remaining open to all students at Austin Peay State University. The center is a place to lounge, study, or engage, designed with real student lives in mind.

Students who stop by the ANTS Center can receive academic and career resources, campus navigation support, connect with peers, or simply take a break between classes and responsibilities.

The center offers comfortable lounge areas; tables for studying or gathering; a conference table, large whiteboard, and printing access; along with a lactation space and a kitchenette equipped with a refrigerator and microwave. The space is also family-friendly, featuring the ANT Farm, a designated play center for students with children.

*What is an Adult or Nontraditional student?
An adult or nontraditional student is not defined only by age, they are also students with life circumstances different from the typical traditional student. These circumstances include, but are not limited to:
- Delayed Enrollment: Did not enter postsecondary education in the same calendar year they finished high school.
- Financial Independence: Classified as independent for financial aid purposes
- Part-Time Enrollment: Attends college part-time for at least part of the academic year.
- Full-Time Work: Works full-time (35+ hours per week) while enrolled.
- Dependents: Has dependents other than a spouse, such as children or elderly family members.
- Caregiver Status: Is a single parent or primary caregiver.
- Age: Often 25 or older

Common ANTS:
- Adult Learners: Returning to finish a degree or starting for the first time later in life.
- Career Switchers: Pursuing new skills to change industries.
- Military Veterans: Transitioning from service to civilian education.
- First-Generation Students: The first in their family to attend college.

Advocates For Autism aims to create acceptance beyond what is often referred to as “awareness” and to educate the campus about autism and the experiences of individuals with autism. We provide an inclusive environment for students who have an official autism diagnosis but also welcome those who identify closely with the characteristics and may not have a diagnosis on paper. Beyond that, we welcome students who would like to learn more about people with autism and those who serve as allies. Advocates For Autism hosts social and educational events to expand beyond the stereotypical view of what it means to be autistic.

Alpha Delta Pi is one of the six National College Panhellenic sororities here on campus. Alpha Delta Pi was founded by six strong women on May 15, 1851 at the Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia. The slogan, "Be the First," comes from being the first founded secret society for women. The Eta Gamma Chapter of Eta Gamma was founded in November 1983 at Austin Peay State University. In ADPi, there is always a sister willing to support and we strive to live out our open motto of “We Live For Each Other.” Our colors are azure blue and white representing friendship, sincerity, and truth. Our national philanthropy is the Ronald McDonald House Charities and our local philanthropy is Camp Rainbow of Clarksville. Being a member of ADPi means being a part of a sisterhood with true and loyal women who value Sisterhood, Service, Knowledge, and Character. This comes from a line of our Creed, "strengthening character and personality, watching attitudes toward fellow beings, recognizing the value of high educational standards, and developing faith and loyalty." As students of Austin Peay State University, we recognize the importance of following this line of the Creed to bring a positive and impactful presence on campus. We are the Non-Traditional Honor Society at Austin Peay State University focusing on the accomplishments of non-traditional students. Our members are sophomores, juniors, and seniors in the top 20% of their class. Alpha Sigma Lambda is the oldest and largest established society for adult learners. Our Chapter is Alpha Theta Psi.

Through ASL, two of members are eligible to apply for scholarships up to $2000, awarded annually through the National Organization. Through this social network, there are employment opportunities, networking, and other benefits.

This is Austin Peay's first honor society for non-traditional students and APSU recognizes the challenges those students encounter. Austin Peay has over 40% non-traditional students.

Alpha Tau Omega is America’s Premiere Leadership Development Fraternity. The Eta Tau chapter at APSU is an award winning chapter known for its continued dedication to excellence and character building for young men. ATO’s philanthropic preeminence is clear, in 2022 alone ATO has donated $15,000 for St. Jude Children’s Hospital. This event known as Jump for Jude has raised more funds than any other Greek Organization on campus. ATO also prides itself in athletic superiority as we have been victors of multiple intermural competitions as well as being back to back intermural football champions. We are very active around campus and participate in every APSU social event allowing us to have greater influence within the campus community. FAMILY GROUPS - Family groups take place once a week at various locations across campus and at many different times. Family groups are a great way for students to connect with one another, study the Bible, grow in their relationship with the Lord, and build community. This a a great opportunity for YOU!

REFUGE WORSHIP SERVICE: Refuge is our weekly worship service that takes place once a week at the BCM. We meet every Thursday night at 7pm! This is a great opportunity for college students to come alongside one another to worship together!

ECHO AND FLOURISH - We will continue to have men's and Women's ministry events worship services together. We will have echo and flourish once a month this semester at the BCM. Check out our Instagram for more info!

Beta Beta Beta (TriBeta) is a society for students, particularly undergraduates, dedicated to improving the understanding and appreciation of biological study and extending boundaries of human knowledge through scientific research. Since its founding in 1922, more than 200,000 persons have been accepted into lifetime membership, and more than 553 chapters have been established throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.

TriBeta was founded in 1922 at Oklahoma City University--the Alpha Chapter--by Dr. Frank G. Brooks and a group of his students. The idea of an honor and professional society for biology students spread rapidly and by 1925, the society was a national organization. Biennial national conventions of student and faculty members began in that year and in 1930 the society journal, BIOS, began publication of student research, articles of interest to biologists and society news. As the society grew, it was divided into regional and district groups, each of which holds a convention annually. At the heart of every district and national meeting are student research papers presented in the style of graduate meetings. Awards are given for outstanding individual and chapter accomplishment.

Membership Criteria and Types of National Memberships

Active Membership ($55 one time fee)
A. You must be a student Majoring in Biology.
B. You must have completed or be enrolled in a third course of Biology and be in your fourth semester of school.
C. You must have at least a 3.0 GPA in Biology
D. You must be in good academic standing with at least a 2.5 overall GPA.

Associate Membership ($40 one time fee)
A. If you do not meet the above Active Membership guidelines, you may still be a nationally recognized associate member. Associate members may not hold an office.

Graduate Membership ($50 fee)
TriBeta is open to all Biology graduate students.

APSU Only:

Chapter Membership ($30 annually or $15 per semester)

To participate in Eta Pi chapter you must be an active member in good standing. All National members are required to be Chapter members, National Membership is not required.

So, Hi! We are Chi Alpha. We’re great, thanks for asking! We don’t have a major – although we are on university campuses all over the world. We’re a network of Christian ministries that look a little bit different on every campus, but here’s what you’re always sure to find: college-age men and women who are all at once deciding who they are (through school or work or life experience) while learning more about Jesus. It all began on April 5, 1895, at the University of Arkansas when four young women, with the help of a local dentist, established the secrets and symbolism that today bind over 300,000 women. This small band of women founded Chi Omega after realizing a need for an organization that would foster both friendship and respect for the potential and inherent value of women. Over the years, Chi Omega has provided its members with unique opportunities in leadership, scholarship, and lifelong friendship - striving to provide each Sister with a commitment to personal integrity, excellence in academic and intellectual pursuits, intergenerational participation, community service, leadership opportunities and social enrichment. The Sigma Kappa Chapter of Chi Omega was installed on the campus of Austin Peay State University on May 6, 1972.

The purpose of this organization shall be to be the official student section of Austin Peay State University. This group will be the leaders of the student section for the athletics department both during athletic events, and throughout the school year. The students in the group will lead the student section in chants, generate awareness for athletic events, gather student feedback, and participate in discussions on how to better the student experience at athletic-related events. These students will also have a chance to participate in networking and career-focused events sponsored by athletics. This could include listening to speakers from the sports-business world, coming to networking events, interacting with student-athletes and coaches, and resume and cover letter building sessions. This main goal of this organization is to serve all students; student-athletes through the presence of a student-section, students in this group through resume building events and experiences, and the student body through student-focused events and the implementation of a new Austin Peay tradition.

About
Accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design, APSU’s art + design program offers studies in drawing, digital media, graphic design, illustration, painting, photography, ceramics, printmaking, sculpture, and art education. The Department is housed in the College of Arts and Letters and consists of 16 full time faculty for approximately 275 students. Three on campus galleries also support the Art & Design programs. The Department of Art + Design recently moved into a new art and design building. The Department of Art + Design also houses the Goldsmith Press and Rare Type Collection, an exceptionally large collection of wood letterforms.

Vision Statement
The Department of Art + Design's vision is to provide a creative environment that enables students to ask questions, think critically, and take risks as they gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence necessary for a meaningful, productive life and work as critical makers in a global society.

The Educational Opportunity Center or EOC is a grant based program which provides counseling, admission and financial aid assistance to potential first-generation and low income adults who are interested in enrolling or returning to a post-secondary institution.

The Educational Opportunity Center's main office is located in the Ellington Building on Drane Street on Austin Peay State University's main campus. In order to better serve eligible participants who live outside of the Clarksville/Fort Campbell communities, we also maintain Outreach Centers within our target areas of Montgomery, Houston and Stewart Counties in Tennessee, and Christian County in Kentucky.

The Educational Opportunity Center, which is a division of the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs at Austin Peay State University, is sponsored as a free community service. The EOC is funded by the U.S. Department of Education in the amount of $444,751.00 for 2022-2023 Fiscal Year.

The Institute for National Security and Military Studies (INSMS) at Austin Peay State University is the first of its kind in the Southeastern United States and is supported by the state legislature to build upon Tennessee’s position as a national leader in collaborating with our military and educating the military community. In addition to providing education to the community, the Institute supports faculty research on National Security and Military Studies related topics. INSMS will partner with several other institutes in 2024 that offers our students the opportunity to conduct research on emerging security and military global topics.
