Creating a Greener Campus Together

Creating a greener campus starts with simple, practical actions students can take every day. Using reusable water bottles and bags, recycling correctly, and reducing paper use help reduce waste. Turning off lights and electronics when not in use, taking shorter showers, and running full laundry loads conserve energy and water. Choosing to walk, bike, or carpool, and being mindful of food waste, further reduces environmental impact. At Austin Peay State University, these everyday choices when practiced together create a cleaner, more sustainable campus and support a healthier community in Clarksville.
